【摘要】:1.1Thisfire-test-responsetestmethodisdesignedforusetodeterminevariousfire-test-responsecharacteristics,includingignitabilityandheatreleaserate,fromcompositesofmattressesorfurniture,orcorrectionalfacilities,whichhavebeenvandalizedinaprescribedmannertoexposethefillingmaterial,byusingabenchscaleoxygenconsumptioncalorimeter.1.2Thistestmethodprovidesformeasurementsofthetimetosustainedflaming,heatreleaserate,peakandtotalheatrelease,andeffectiveheatofcombustionataconstantradiantheatfluxof35kW/m2.See5.7forlimitations.1.3Theapparatususedinthistestmethodisalsocapableofdeterminingheatreleasedataatdifferentheatfluxes.1.4Thespecimenisorientedhorizontallyandasparkignitionsourceisused.1.5Allfire-test-responsecharacteristicsaredeterminedusingtheapparatusandtheproceduresdescribedinTestMethodE1354.1.6Thetestsaredoneonbench-scalespecimenscombiningthemattressorfurnitureouterlayercomponents.Frameelementsarenotincluded.1.7Thevandalismissimulatedbycausingaprescribedcutontheouterlayerofthecomposite,deepenoughtoexposethefillingmaterialtotheincidentradiation.1.8ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.9Thisstandardisusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledconditions,butdoesnotbyitselfincorporateallfactorsrequiredforfirehazardorfireriskassessmentofthematerials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.10Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautions,seeSection7.
